The Face Lift Options You Should Know

If you’re trying to decide which facelift options are best for you then

you have a lot to think about. There are several treatments for you to

choose from.

If you have considered doing something about the fine lines and wrinkles

then you know you have a lot of options. You know that you can go with

the over the counter creams. You could try some of the specialty serums

from those high-end retailers. You may also be considering something

more long term and more drastic like surgery. But even then you have

options. So what are your face lift options and what are the risks and

recovery times involved with each one?

One type of face lift is the injectable fillers. Rather than go through

an extensive surgery you may choose to have fillers injected. There are

several types of fillers that you can choose from and each will give you

a different sort of result. One type is the Artefill, which is

synthetic microscopic shperes that will fill in the wrinkles and fine

lines around the mouth. Another, and probably the most popular type, is

Botox. This injection paralyzes the muscles, generally used on the

forehead, between the eyes. This keeps the muscles from contracting

forming the fine lines and wrinkles on the brow. A final type of

injectable is Belotero, which increase the volume that might be lost in

the soft tissue.

Another face lift sort of procedure you can use is the stem cell

procedure. This is a very involved procedure which takes fat from

another, or donor, area of your body and places it in the receiving area

of your body, generally the area that loses the most volume. Prior to

being transferred to the areas of your face that need the treatment the

stem cells within the fat are activated via drugs. These newly activated

stem cells are then used to make you appear younger. This is a very

expensive treatment and the jury is still out on how long or how

effective it really is.

If you want to have the most effective procedure performed then a

regular face lift is in order. In this procedure your surgeon will

literally pull the skin tight so that the finer lines and wrinkles go

away. You don’t want the skin pulled too tight or it won’t look natural.

IF you have deeper lines and wrinkles this procedure won’t necessarily

get rid of them, it will however, make them less severe.

No matter which version of a face lift that you decide on you’ll have

recovery time. The injections and stem cell treatments will take less

time than the actual surgery but you need to follow your doctor’s

instructions. As with all surgeries there are some risks involved but

for most women these risks were not enough to make them reconsider

having the surgery. Your doctor can tell you all about what risks are

involved and can answer any questions you may have about the procedure.
