Computer becomes a

part of our daily life, especially for young people and office workers. When

you use computer at home or in the office, you should operate mouse and

keyboard. It could cause some serious harm or disorder by long using.

As the other

activities, your hands, shoulder, arms and neck will suffer considerable

discomfort from the wrong way of using mouse. If you show discomfort,

pain, tingle and so on, you couldn’t neglect the warning signals because the

signals are related to the injury of nerves, muscle and other parts. But what’s

the correct way to use mouse and avoid the harms?

There are three

kinds of hand postures to hold mouse which is related to operate frequency,

time and position. If you only have one mouse, you could choose different

reasonable way to hold according to your needs. But some people have different mice

to meet different needs. In market, there are three different mice: notebook

mouse, right-hand mouse and symmetrical mouse. And then I’d like to introduce

the three different ways to hold a mouse.

The first one is

post-position. Put the thumb, ring finger and little finger separately at the

two sides of mouse. Forefinger and middle finger are separately on the left and

right keys. The main feature

of the posture is that your palm doesn’t touch the back part of mouse. Your wrist

as a fulcrum is to remove the mouse. The posture is fit for notebook mouse.

The second posture

is a common one which has a little difference with the first one. The second

one is that your palm is totally put on the back part of mouse. Put your whole

hand on the mouse. It is a fatigue-free posture which is fit for long-time user

and right-hand mouse.

The third one is

pre-position posture. The back part of your palm touches the mouse and your forearm

is the fulcrum to remove the mouse. Your waist is in space. This posture is fit

for symmetrical mouse.

The above

introduced the three difference postures of holding a mouse. The second one is Acommon one for most people. If you are care about your

health, you should not ignore the little details. You could change the posture

to hold mouse. Each posture has its own supporting point. Using different

posture could exercise different part of your body, such as your wrist could

have a rest if you use the third

posture to place the first one.

Certainly, it

needs time and practice when you are in habit of different postures. But

practice makes perfect. The other easy way is to prepare different types of mousse.

When you want to change a posture to hold mouse, you could use the other different

mouse.
